LIFE ON THE ROAD

My husband and I, along with our dog Josey, have been work camping since the spring of 1996. For those that don't know the term 'work camping', we work for the price of our site (where we park our rig) and in some instances $$$ for additional hours. We are also called camp hosts.

Our "home on wheels" on site at the Florida SKP Park.

We worked 1996 thru 2001 summer seasons at the Osage Beach RV Park This park is located at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

We spent several winters in Biloxi, MS. The area is much different than we expected...so many different types of trees, the beach is truly beautiful, some wonderful old 'southern' homes and for those into gambling the casinos are very nice. You sure can't beat the buffets these casinos offer.

One spring we planted annuals at our site in Missouri, we attracted some beautiful butterflies.

The winter of 2000 we served as the Asst. Managers at the SKP park "The Resort" in Zolfo Springs, Florida. Lots of things going on all the time and wonderful folks to share the time with.

If you are wondering what we do on our off hours (we only work 20 hours/week) check out my page of pictures of the things we made during our summers.

It seems one of the first questions a camper asks of another camper is "How were the sites there?" I have a small collection of pictures of different sites at some of the campgrounds we have stayed at. Click on the state abbreviation to view them.
